Teachers’ Day 2025 – 05.09.2025

The PG & Research Department of English, A.P.C. Mahalaxmi College for Women, Thoothukudi, celebrated Teachers’ Day in a memorable manner with a series of programmes. As part of the celebration, a Staff Trip was arranged on 5th September 2025 to Gundaru Dam and Falls and Mekkarai Amusement Park. The trip provided relaxation, fun, and togetherness for the faculty members.

Following the trip, a formal Teachers’ Day celebration was organized on 8th September 2025 at 1.00 p.m. in the Dr. M. Varadharajan Hall under the theme “A Tribute to Teachers”. The programme commenced with a Welcome Address by Dr. Monica Ramraj, Head & Associate Professor of English. Dr. K. Subbulakshmi, Principal, delivered the Felicitation Address, appreciating the tireless service and dedication of the teachers. To make the occasion more engaging, exciting games were conducted, and motivational videos were shown to inspire the teachers. As a token of gratitude, a keychain souvenir was gifted to all faculty members. The programme concluded with a Vote of Thanks by Dr. T. Lilly Golda, Associate Professor of English.

This central celebration was further enriched as the students of various departments organized department-wise celebrations to honour their respective staff members with love and gratitude. Thus, the Teachers’ Day 2025 celebrations combined recreation, appreciation, and joyful participation, making it an unforgettable event for both teachers and students.
