Ph.D. (Tamil) is a doctoral level course. It provides study related to contemporary cultural history on the basis of modern media and print audio and electronic operating today.

During the study time candidates learn about the Tamil’s language evolution and contribution of many people for such a long period. The literature courses provide an insight into a range of literary genres, periods and styles.

The course involves Major components such as Literary Criticism, Fiction, Poetry/ Drama, Philosophy, Linguistics and Literature. Tamil is a official language of the Indian state Tamil Nadu, spoken by the Tamil people of India and Sri Lanka, and by the Tamil diaspora, Sri Lankan Moors, Douglas, and Chindians. After its successful completion candidates have various job opportunities in various fields.
