Awareness Programme – Swachhata Pakhwada – Mosquito Warriors and Vermicompost Heroes- 16.09.2025

The Department of Zoology, A.P.C. Mahalaxmi College for Women, Thoothukudi, organized a Swachhata Pakhwada activity on 16th September 2025 at Dr. M. Varadharajan Hall from 1.30 p.m. to 3.00 p.m. for the students of I, II, and III B.Sc. Zoology. The programme, titled “Mosquito Warriors and Vermicompost Heroes,” aimed to create awareness among students about ecological practices, mosquito control, and sustainable waste management. Through engaging demonstrations and discussions, students were sensitized on the importance of biological control methods and the role of vermicomposting in promoting environmental cleanliness. The activity successfully instilled a sense of responsibility and commitment among the participants towards a cleaner and greener environment.
