Department of Computer Science – Pearl Jubilee Celebration – 28.03.2026

The Department of Computer Science of A.P.C. Mahalaxmi College for Women, Thoothukudi, celebrated its Pearl Jubilee (30 Glorious Years) on 28 March 2026, marking three decades since its establishment in 1996.
The celebration featured the release of a Jubilee Souvenir and a grand alumni meet, in which around 220 alumnae, along with their children, participated, making the event vibrant and memorable. Mrs. Saraswathi Murugesan, Assistant Vice President, Standard Chartered Bank, Bengaluru, an alumna of the 2002–2005 batch, was invited as the Chief Guest. The function was graced by President Thiru A.P.C.V. Chockalingam, Secretary Thirumathi Subbulakshmi, and Principal Dr. Subbulakshmi.
On the occasion, the alumni generously contributed Rs. 4,50,000 towards supporting needy students of the department, reflecting their strong bond with the institution.
The event marked a proud milestone, highlighting the department’s legacy of excellence and its continued commitment to empowering students.
