A.P.C. Mahalaxmi College for Women, Thoothukudi celebrated “75th Independence Day” on 12th August, 2022.
Foremost among the sentiments of the Indian people is the ‘sense of oneness’ expressed by the love exchange 75th Independence Day Celebration ‘Uruvakkam 75’ was celebrated in A.P.C. Mahalaxmi Women College for Women on 12.08.2022.
To celebrate the 75th Independence Day, ‘Uruvakam 75’ was conducted with 750 female students of the college and events like 75 second clapping, 75 second independence song, 75 second meditation position and decoration of 75 national flags were elaborately created. 75 types of traditional dishes were prepared by the students under the supervision of Dr. Vanitha and Dr. Jothilakshmi.
The rally of the students to mark the 75th Independence Day was inaugurated by the Principal of the college, Dr. Bala Shanmuga Devi.
The event was led by Head of Chemistry Department, Dr. Kokila Subatra Christy, Chemistry Department Professors and National Welfare Program Coordinators – Dr. Shanmuga Priya and Dr. Vasantha Sena, National Student Corps Coordinator Dr. Muthukani, Youth Red Cross Students and Coordinators Dr. Vijayalakshmi, Sivaranjani and Director of Physical Education Dr. Anista.
A large number of students participated enthusiastically and celebrated the Independence Day programme.
