National Entrepreneurship Day – Budding Entrepreneur Expo – 19.01.2026

The PG & Research Department of Commerce, A.P.C. Mahalaxmi College for Women, Thoothukudi, organized a National Entrepreneurship Day – Budding Entrepreneur Expo, an enthusiastic and student-centric event, on 19 January 2026 (Monday) at A.P.C. Mahalaxmi College for Women, Thoothukudi. The programme was conducted with the objective of nurturing and encouraging budding entrepreneurs among students.

The Entrepreneur Expo aimed to motivate young aspirants to explore entrepreneurial opportunities and to set inspiring examples for emerging start-ups. Dr. K. Palani, M.Sc., M.Phil., PGDCA., Ph.D., Head and Associate Professor, Department of Mathematics, A.P.C. Mahalaxmi College for Women, Thoothukudi – 628002, served as the Resource Person. She delivered an insightful and informative session, encouraging and motivating the budding entrepreneurs to elevate their business ideas in accordance with recent entrepreneurial trends and traits.

The event was initiated and coordinated by Dr. S. Vanitha, Head and Assistant Professor, and Mrs. P. Karpagavalli, Assistant Professor, PG & Research Department of Commerce. The programme was organized by Dr. A. Antony Selva Priya, Assistant Professor, and Mrs. P. Sudha, Assistant Professor, PG & Research Department of Commerce, on behalf of their department.

As part of the Expo, the best-performing budding entrepreneurs were honoured. Students who secured the highest scores in the Expo were awarded First and Second prizes, thereby encouraging active participation and strengthening entrepreneurial skills.

The smooth and successful execution of the programme was the result of the collective efforts, cooperation, and coordination of the staff members and students of the PG & Research Department of Commerce.
