National Faculty Development Programme – 26.06.2025 to 02.07.2025 – Refugee Studies: A Literary Introduction

The P.G. and Research Department of English at A.P.C. Mahalaxmi College for Women, Thoothukudi, in collaboration with the Nucleus of Learning and Development, Vadodara, is organizing a five-day Online National Faculty Development Programme on the theme “Refugee Studies: A Literary Introduction” from 26th June to 2nd July 2025, under the framework of the academic MoU.
Ms. Elizabeth Varkey, Assistant Professor of English, Christ University, Pune Lavasa Campus, Maharashtra, will serve as the resource person, delivering a series of intellectually stimulating sessions scheduled from 8:00 PM to 9:00 PM via Google Meet.
The programme is convened by Dr. Monica Ramraj, Head & Associate Professor of English, and coordinated by Dr. R. Vadivukarasi, Assistant Professor of English. Their academic leadership and collaborative efforts ensure the seamless execution of this scholarly initiative.
This FDP aims to offer interdisciplinary perspectives on displacement, identity, digital memory, and literary narratives related to refugee experiences. The sessions are designed to foster critical inquiry, enrich teaching practices, and encourage meaningful academic collaborations across institutions.
