National FDP – Transcending Borders: The Diasporic Voice in Jhumpa Lahiri’s Works – 17th to 23rd July 2025

The P.G. and Research Department of English, A.P.C. Mahalaxmi College for Women, Thoothukudi, SWAYAM – NPTEL Local Chapter ID: 3094, in collaboration with the Nucleus of Learning and Development, Vadodara, Gujarat, is organising a National Level Online Faculty Development Programme titled “Transcending Borders: The Diasporic Voice in Jhumpa Lahiri’s Works” from 17 to 23 July 2025, scheduled daily from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. The college takes pride in hosting this academic initiative that explores diasporic themes such as identity, migration, and cultural dislocation through the lens of Jhumpa Lahiri’s celebrated works including Interpreter of Maladies, The Namesake, Unaccustomed Earth, and The Lowland.
