The PG & Research Department of Chemistry, A.P.C. Mahalaxmi College for Women, organized a One-Day Workshop on “Integrating Traditional Knowledge for a Sustainable & Climate Resilient Future” on 12th December 2025 at Dr. Vasanthi Devi Hall.

The program featured insightful sessions by Dr. T. Sakthika, who spoke on “Earthworms as Traditional Heroes in Ancient & Modern Agriculture”, and Dr. V. Sornalakshmi, who delivered a talk on “Traditional Use of Herbs in Home Remedies”. The workshop also included a keynote address by Dr. P. Thangavel, Director, Centre of Climate Change & Disaster Risk Management, Periyar University, on “Global Climate Change Scenarios & Key Outcomes of COP Meetings”.

The event was successfully coordinated by the department faculty under the guidance of Principal Dr. K. Subbulakshmi, offering students valuable insights into traditional practices and climate resilience.
